Front Row Seat

Some say in ice.
From what I’ve tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Some background info on this shot:
I was cranking out some codes at work and didn’t want to take a lunch break. By 4 PM, I was starving. I decided to leave work early to get a bite to eat. As soon as I stepped outside and saw the sky, food had to wait. I rushed home, grabbed my gears and jumped on my bike and pedaled as fast as I could. By the time I got to the beach, I was totally spent. I staggered out on the sand, setup my tripods and started to look around … gray sky with little light and colors. I missed the golden light, so I waited for a crimson red sky. I didn’t have to wait for too long before the show started. The sky was on fire!
I’m sure someone will ask, “Is this real?” Well, take a look at this [screen shot] showing the unprocessed RAW images that I loaded in DPP. I wasn’t planning on doing any shooting until this weekend, so to get these was just pure luck.
