Broken Kelp

As I mentioned in my previous post about a twilight surfer, I lined up my tripod to make a vertorama, and this image was what I had in mind. I rushed the last shot out because I did not have time to finish processing this image.

@Jason: you should know that sunsets are boring ;) i never think about shooting a sunset, i always think about capturing what one feels. sunset just adds that magical light quality.

So, I’m wondering how on earth you capture a pano with those dynamic skies, and then read "I lined up my tripods", plural. Whoa. :)

All fired at once?

But aside from the technical, it’s the fragility of the kelp in this vast sea/sky-scape which tugs at my my emotions. It seems to be reaching out… And its form echoes the surroundings. Though separate, it is still part of the whole.
