2009 Fiesta Dancers performed at the Sunken Garden.
I attended “Las Noches De Ronda” at the Santa Barbara’s Sunken Garden last night and shot a few Fiesta images. Here are two that I like. These dancers have incredible arm speed. When they dance, their skirts twirl around forming explosions of colors in motion.
I converted the color images into black and white to accentuate the motion. Here’s a color image of the same dance I shot back in 2006. Instead of posting two separate images, I decided to make a diptych. The left image was shot at 1/20s and the right at 1/10s.
I’m heading out to Montana to shoot some landscapes – will be back in about two weeks with new photos.
