Been meaning to post some more, but work’s been busy … will post more Kauai photos this weekend.

Kauai North Shore Aerial

One of the must-do’s in Kauai is to take a helicopter tour of the island. I shot Kauai from the air before, but through pexiglass. This time, no window! It was quite fun leaning out into the slipstream and trying to hold the camera steady to shoot. I put my 17mm on the 10d body and the 70mm on the 5d body, and took both of them up. In the end, I got more usable photos with the 10d+17mm combo. It was difficult shooting with a longer and heavier lens while hanging out in the slipstream.
