Two Birds and a Duck

Shot with my 70-200mm with a 1.4x extender. Because I like to shoot wide open landscapes, I don’t use this fine lens enough :( I’ve tried shooting on the opposite side of the creek during sunset with the sun on my back – I much prefer this side of the creek.

Silent Treatment

Saw these two flirting in a taro field in Hananlei Valley. Swapped out my 17-40mm for my 70-200mm and tried to sneak up on these two. Got a few shots before they took off.

Been quite busy lately. Decided to take a break from posting photos shot from my trip to the Eastern Sierra. Backed up my 2006 photos and saw something I like.

It Walks Alone

It's good to be home… surfers in the water, bird on the sand, sun on the horizon, clouds above my head, clouds under my feet …
Left ISO setting @ 200 from a previous shoot. When will Canon camera designers put the ISO value in the view finder? At least it wasn't 1600; otherwise, I'd have no usable shot from this magical sunset.
